5 weeks ago I went to my primary Dr for a sore throat. She sends me to the ear, nose, & throat Dr for a follow up. Swollen vocal cords, but that has healed. However he does see something unusual in my esophagus so he sends me for an esophageal exam. The results came back Extensive Gastroesophageal Reflux and sends me to see a Gastroenterologist. Went there today. Not good. Now I have to get an Upper GI Endoscopy so he can do a biopsy to see if I have cancer in either my esophagus, stomach, or upper small intestine. Hope its benign and I can get back to a normal life.
