50 years ago today, The Kinks released their first album. Like every great British Invasion band, the first record is a blend of energetic R&B/Chuck Berry covers with promising originals. It would be a few more releases before they would hit their unbreakable stride (Face To Face - Muswell Hillbillies), but I still love this first album for its enthusiasm and bravado, and it contains a few deeper cuts, such as this one, which Id consider among Rays catchiest tunes. #GodSaveTheKinks
