50 yrs ago , our nation lost its innocence, I was five in kindergarten, and like many others remember where they were, what they were doing when they learned that our president was shot. I not a historian but That day and days following our nation wept. From the very young to the elderly . We all tried to console each other The day of the funeral my mom, myself, my sister, and my baby brother all sat in front of the tv not moving or fussing. I remember thinking why would someone kill Carolyn and John-Johns daddy , he was always smiling and always kind to people. Now fifty years later, I see that a coward of a man who wanted attention stole from all of us a dream. A dream of unity, love, and equality as a country . Now our people are self center, judge mental, and have forgotten what John F Kennedy stood for and died for. A proud country who is willing to extend a helping hand , that is proud to say , God Bless the United States of America As president Kennedy said to all Americans Ask not what your country can do for you , but ask what YOU can do for your country. God Bless and R I P President Kennedy You Will Never Be Forgotten
