52 years ago today, I was bought a Cisco Kid gun and holster set..it cost 10 shillings 46 years ago today, my sister Brenda grabbed me in a big hug and with a loud peck on my cheeks shouted out Sweet 16 and never been kissed I was embarrassed...she was right. xx 41 years ago today, my friend Phil Green said he would get everyone together to celebrate my 21st party. I declined...I hated birthdays then...and certainly anything I was the centre of. 42 years ago today, my old Foreman, Alfie Cook shook my hand and the whole Adams St depot sang happy birthday to me...I was so embarrassed I wanted to die. 45 years today, I cried bitter tears on the first birthday Id had without my mom. 32 years ago today, I held my 7 week old little girl in my arms as I thanked her for being my best present ever. 12 years ago today, my family came from Europe and all over England to celebrate it with me. 12 years ago today, I also held my beautiful, weeks old grandaughter in my arms. 41 years ago today, I first wore a gold ring that my family had bought me for my birthday, the ring was badly damaged when 4 lads beat me up in the Eagle pub 3 weeks later. 44 years ago today, my Uncle Les took me up to Gosta Green and helped me buy my first motorbike. 2 years ago today, all my family were with me to celebrate my 60th...my beautiful sister Brenda who had passed away 5 years before? she was there too. xx 22 years ago today, I went with Roz and my two girls to have a family photo taken...I still have it, oh a stranger looks back at me, a stranger with a strong healthy body, dark red hair and pretty much unlined...but hey, the me of today kept the brains. 7 years today I was in Cuba..I got to dance beneath a diamond sky with one hand waving free... And that hand was holding on to a bottle of Moet. All in all, its not been too shoddy a life .
