528 sentenced to DEATH... 683 more on trial... one police officer was killed... Yet... there were attacks against the Copts... where is the justice there? We didnt hear about that... and a death sentence for protesting? Imprisonment is understandable... but death? unless these folks are so rabid with their islamic passion that this is the only conceivable answer for this court... what a human tragedy... mankinds sinful nature is evident in the nation of Egypt... it has been around since Noahs descendants walked off the Ark and setup camp in the region... yet for all that time theyve not progressed, matured or prospered... you think given all this time theyd have utopia... of course they did have some set backs around 1400BC with some plagues and such... curse Israel and... hmmm... but still... its been a long time since that bit of stubbornness... yet look at them... an ancient nation that is still struggling to sort things out... without the God of the Bible... yet, look at the USA... our forefathers trusted the Bible and Jesus and the concepts of liberty and human worth and established an amazing nation, a secular nation based on Biblical principles... which has slipped into disrepair because weve matured as humans and turned our back on the Biblical principle part... some say thats a good thing... but is it? really? time will tell... The defendants were found guilty on Monday of charges relating to an attack on a police station in Minya in August. Another 683 Morsi supporters went on trial at the same court on Tuesday. They include the Muslim Brotherhoods general guide, Mohammed Badie, and the chairman of its Freedom and Justice Party (FJP), Saad al-Katatni. Later, security forces clashed with hundreds of Minya University students protesting against the trials. Tear gas was fired at the students after they blocked a main road, threw stones and set an armoured police vehicle on fire. Unprecedented There has been widespread condemnation of Mondays decision by the Minya Criminal Court to sentence 528 people to death for their alleged participation in an attack on a police station in the central city in mid-August, in which a police officer was killed.
