6-6-13: Good for Cheerios! You may have seen their commercial informing the public that their cereal is good for the heart. Some people were upset by the method they used to promote this message. They used a bi-racial couple and their daughter. Some people were upset that a major food company would suggest a black man and white women should marry and have a child together. I, myself, am quite proud that when I watched the commercial, I didn’t even notice the bi-racial family, only the cute way they promoted that Cheerios are good for the heart. The daughter left Cheerios on her father’s chest when he was asleep. Since I didn’t leap to my feet and proclaim an end to the American life style when I viewed this commercial, tells me that I am for more intelligence and mature than my friends tell me.
