6+ inches of rain yesterday, and up to 9 in areas around me. We definitely had a good rain. I would say, however, that the flooding I saw was less natures fury than mans folly. This area long ago gave up urban planning in favor of more housing, and this is the price. I could predict pretty easily which areas would be flooded, and even knew which bridges to avoid. when you have a couple thousand sqaure feet of concrete, and a single 12 inch drain pipe, you are bound to get water buildup in a heavy rain.
