6 of the 8 Davis kids, somewhere in the hills of southern IL near the Mississippi. Hallie Lucinda, the oldest, (maybe already married?) and Thomas William (not yet on this earth at the time of the photo) are not pictured. Clockwise from the smallest person up in front: Florence (I remember she told me she had just stubbed her toe before the photo was taken, which explains the pained look!), Jesse, Nora Mae, Robert Leroy (my grandfather), Gladys, and Henry Newburn. Uncle Jim can fill us all in on the missing/incorrect middle names here!
