6 years ago today I started a project to materialise an ambition which I had since I was 15 years old. The aim was to build a custom vehicle which whilst still being faithful to the Ford make, deviates from the usual suspects which are typically tuned within the Maltese islands. The focus of the project was not one of ultimate power, but to modify as neatly as possible whilst keeping the new additions compatible with the period of the car. After quite a few ups and downs along the way I would be lying if I say I am not happy with end result. Being featured in Classic Ford magazine, being nominated for Classic Ford of the year 2013 and consequently taking the award is something I was not expecting. Having said this, it is undoubtedly one of the things I cherish the most from this experience and something which I will never forget. Infinite gratitude goes towards all the people who have helped and guided me along the way, including family, friends, local workshops, and especially all the valuable information off the 105speed and Oldskool Ford forums. And now off to another year of shows, strolling round the coast, and enjoying the thing! Happy birthday Project Estate!
