615am prayer....Eternal God our Father, we thank You for this day. Thank You for life, health, and strength. Thank You for waking us in our right mind. Thank You for a safe place to sleep on last night. We are thankful that we were not sleeping outdoors on last night. Thank You for Your provision. Thank You for sustaining us. Thank You for keeping us. Father, we come to You today praying for godly leadership. Your Word reminds us: The kings heart is in the hand of the LORD, as the rivers of water: he turneth it whithersoever he will (Prov 21:1). Your Word reminds us that we have a responsibility to pray for those that are in authority, in leadership, in governmental offices. Father, we pray that You would touch the hearts of all that are in positions of authority. Touch the hearts of mayors, city council members, senators. Touch the hearts of parents, teachers, school board members, professors. We lift up our president to You. We pray for the vice-president. We lift up members of congress today. We lift up the supreme court to You. We pray for judges everywhere. We pray according to 1 Timothy 2: I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people--for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness (1 Tim 2:1-2). Lord, we pray for them to be unified in righteousness. Give them wisdom them, that they may judge in fairness. Lord, cover them now. Cover every person in our military. Cover law enforcement. Give them wisdom on how to handle conflict. We pray that all men and women having authority over us in any way, that You would pour out Your Spirit on them. Let wisdom enter their hearts. Let knowledge enter their minds. Let them be sensitive to godly counsel. Bring to light what has been kept in darkness. Let this nation remember where we have fallen from. Let us repent, turn, and do our first works over. Lord, open our eyes. Soften the hearts that are harden through the deceitfulness of sin. Soften the hearts of that would be murderer, the would be robber. Change their hearts and minds. Deliver them today. Father, we pray that You would raise up a standard in this nation. Raise up intercessors for this nation, our children, out city. Lord, raise up intercessors. Lord, comfort every family that has been affected by tragedy. As we reflect on 911, touch every family that was affected by the attacks on this day. Touch every person who lost a loved one. We also pray for those affected by ISIS. Lord, be their help today. Lord, help our nation. We are lost without You. We are nothing without You. Give us to come back to You. Give us to seek You, as a nation, first. We recognize that what the enemy meant for our destruction, You blocked it. Thank You for watching over our nation, even though our nation seemingly has forgotten about You. Lord, we pray for peace in our nation. We pray for godly direction. We commit to covering our nation in prayer daily!!! Thank You for Your hand of protection!!!...............In Jesus Name............Amen.
