C. Kellogg Ill but Four Days Marcia DeWolf Kellogg, the five-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. G. C. Kellogg, of South Grand Avenue, died of indigestion at 4:30 oclock yesterday afternoon, after an illness of four days duration. Her death was not only an overwhelming shock to her parents, but to almost the entire city as well. Little Patty, as the child was affectionately called by her parents and friends, was born January 30, 1903 making her age five years and seven months. patty was one of the most beautiful children in the city, and she possessed a disposition such as is seldom found in one of her years. The child was loved by all who knew her, and in kindergarten, Sunday school and other places she was always a general favorite. Only last Tuesday afternoon Patty entertained many of her little friends at her home in honor of a cousin, and although she was first taken ill Monday afternoon, she was able to act as hostess at her party. The child grew steadily worse from the beginning, and in addition to every attention possible from local physicians, Dr. Foster, a Kansas City specialist, was summoned. He arrived yesterday afternoon, just after the little one died. The funeral was held at the Kellogg home on Grand Ave and interment was made in Park Cemetery. ¸.•..¸.•*¨) ¸.•*¨) ) (¸.•.. Children who die are not really dead, But just like good children tucked into bed, Wait the long wait while we go ahead, Till our tales are all told and our tears are all shed. Children who die feel no pleasure or pain. In the place where they wait till they see us again, And all of us dance in a world washed with rain.
