7/17 at 11:10am WPD received complaints of a gray Honda Civic driving all over the roadway on Stevens Blvd. Officers spotted the vehicle on Lost Nation Road near SR 2 heading northbound going left of center over the double yellow lines. The officer initiated a traffic stop after observing the Honda striking a curb. The vehicle disobeyed the sirens and lights and continued westbound on Tamarac. The vehicle eventually pulled over on Westover and stopped. Once stopped the vehicle then accelerated in reverse and struck the front of the cruiser, causing damage to the front bumper and her rear bumper. The 63 yr old female driver from Madison was not injured but did shows signs of being impaired. After several failed field sobriety tests she was placed under arrest on suspicion of OVI. She was charged with OVI, fleeing, improper backing, expired registration and left of center.
