7.3.2014: Im thanking special people today. First our troops! Were the land of the free because of the brave! Thank you Mayor Michael Nutter for being an excellent Mayor. People say all sorts of things to demonstrate their idiocy on any given day. You, sir, are distinctive, honorable and impressive. Youve taken on difficult problems in difficult times. Please know that you are admired by many more than you may realize; I am among them. Some say at times the Mayor can be wonkish. Sir, I consider that a well deserved compliment to you. You are a man of both compassion and courage. I sent a prayer up on Monday...a prayer of thanks to G-d for the late Senator Arlen Specter when he was a Republican. Without his fierce fight for now Associate Justice Samuel Alito, Justice Alito would NOT be on the Supreme Court of the United States. The Democrat leaders were from Vermont and Massachusetts; both having hissy fits at the time and swearing Alito was a racist. In fact the late Senator Ted Kennedy kept calling him (phonetically) Alley-0h-Toe. Senator Specter ripped their claims to shreds. He was right, they were wrong and Samuel Alito sits as a distinguished member of the Court today. These are facts, not in dispute. Yes, I sent up a prayer of thanks for his work as a Republican. Heres something else he pushed hard for; but, Democrats fiercely oppose it STILL and they are wrong (in my opinion): the Senator believed that ALL AMERICANS should be able to see every Oral Argument made in the US Supreme Court via television!! Allow cameras in the US Supreme Court so ALL can watch!! Who agrees?? If you do; please, get it done!! Please consider the contributions of our Founders and these two men I have discussed here. And knock it off with the fighting!! Learn to BE like Ronald Reagan and Margaret Thatcher, please...know what youre FOR and let s get it done!! Who will stand with me??
