7/8/2014 The “New” Exportceram restarts with Sacmi Plant renovation has been completed in record-breaking time and the “universal firing machine”, heart of the production line, has been developed with Sacmi. With the plants completely renovated in only six months, production now resumes. Exportceram Fideuro of Montefiorino (Mo) turns a new page, strengthened by a technological investment and a renewed plant created with the purpose of increasing the company’s competitiveness in the industry, as well as providing the basis for a future full of prosperity and development for employment. Sacmi, a top level partner, in cooperation with Exportceram - a company that although small, has played a leading role in the Ceramics industry for over forty years - has developed the “universal firing machine”. Designed using a new technology, it is extremely flexible both in handling different formats and adjusting firing temperatures and curves according to the kind of production required: inert materials, double fired tiles, porcelain stone ware and biotiles. “Everyone knows,” emphasized Renzo Righetti of Exportceram, “that the difficult economic conditions have drastically reduced demand, while, at the same time, foreign players, with incredibly contained costs, have created fierce competition in the ceramics sector. The company has responded by making a substantial investment that will guarantee competitiveness in the market and nurture a work force formed on site, which has always been proactive and loyal to the company.” The technology developed with Sacmi only represents the conclusion of a completely updated production concept called “Sistema Fabbrica” (Factory System), which Exportceram started using in the beginning of 2013 on the eve of the plant renewal project for further reducing the environmental impact on production. The company optimized the spaces used, renewed and systemized the lines, made the work environment more healthy and last, but not least, turned to local or national suppliers for raw materials, such as clay. Righetti added, “with the creation of new plants, the internal and external work environments have improved and the old production system has been replaced with a new line that adopts the innovative production concept conceived by the same company, coming from the experience accumulated in over forty years of business.” This also represents a significant result for Sacmi, which has selected Exportceram to carry out this important high-tech project. Sacmi is putting its faith in an exceptional small/medium-sized company to relaunch the Sassuolo district and “Made in Italy.
