7 Essential People Every Business Owners Needs NOTE: This is a very important post. I believe this to be the truth from the top of my head to the soles of my feet. 1. A Good Proactive Accountant. This is so much easier said than done. But you really do need to find a good accountant - someone who is proactive and who will want to meet with you on a monthly basis to go over your financials. 2. A Serious Business Coach. If your business coach doesnt address the first point, ditch them and go find one who does. NOTE: The right business coach will be able to introduce you to all of the other people in this list. You need a coach who will sit down with you at least once a month and go over your business with your accountant present and who will hold you accountable. You need a coach who has done more than just buy a coaching franchise. He or she should have real-world experience in running a successful business. I once had a coach in Australia who asked me to market his business. I asked him to explain what he did and he literally told me: Well one of the things I do is sit and hold peoples hands whilst they go broke I sat there like a stunned mullet. In contrast, my own coach was like an elite SAS Commando who whole have been fighting like a tiger to STOP his clients from going broke in the first place. 3. A Copywriter. Writing your own copy is like trying to remove your own appendix on the kitchen table - even if you do succeed [highly unlikely] the pain and associated risks are not worth it. NOTE: And if you believe that some stupid, automated software can spit out million dollar sales letters in minutes stop and consider this: guys like me often take 5 days just on the headline. 4. A Web Designer Who Understands Direct Response Marketing. I have lost count of the number of times people tell me Oh I have a wonderful web man/lady And as I look at their site, my heart sinks. It is so bad it hurts my eyes. 5. An Adwords/PPC/Facebook Expert. Want to lose money faster than you can blink? Venture into this last field and try to wing it and hope for the best and you are in for one hell of a ride. This is because Money Has No Conscience and it will desert you like rats on a sinking ship. 6. Mentor[s] You need to get close to one or two people who you trust and admire and allow them to get in your face and hold you accountable. 7. A Marketing Expert. I have to admit I am biased as I wear two of the hats in this list. But if effective lead generation and conversion is the absolute life blood of cash flow, why on earth wouldnt you want someone in your corner who can show you How to Get the Marketing Right ?
