7 July 2014 Hi Volunteers, Kumusta na po kayo? I hope all is well with you. I have a talk with Sir Rico, Head of Childrens Affairs, on the present needs of our resident kids & there emerges an urgent need of Home Buddying. What does a Home Buddy do? S/he oversees the kids during their hygiene time, dinner time, doing their evening chores, & sees to it that those in Tutorial Program attend their sessions, also to teach other kids the study habit during their study time. We have 4 dorms for girls w/c can be monitored by 4 Volunteers, 1 dorm each, on Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays. Likewise, 4 dorms for boys w/c can be monitored by 4 Volunteers, 1 dorm each, on Tuesdays & Thursdays. Other choice of schedule is below: Weekdays - Their Lunch break - 11:45-1:15pm Saturdays - Morning - 8am-12pm Afternoon - 3-6pm Evening - 6-9pm The former weekday suggested time would be from 6-8pm (it’s up to this time only because Home Parent will be relieved by a Tutor, their schedule follows: 6:15pm - Theyre back to their dorms for shower & laundry 7:00 - Theyre preparing their dinner 7:15 - Their dinner 7:45 - They do their chores 8:15-9:15 - Study Time; Others have their tutorial May we request you & your would-be volunteer-friends to give this volunteer option a try? We know you support our thrust of teaching our kids the values of CLEANLINESS & ORDERLINESS because we believe in – ‘our GOD is a GOD of ORDER & CLEANLINESS IS NEXT to GODLINESS. Sincerely, Rosanna P. Yap Volunteer Affairs Head
