7 years ago, I first visited Cambodia after my family fled due in the 80s to warring times. I saw a product I wanted to bring back to Australia, but found the process was very difficult. This was because you require the expatriate community, who knew the culture and language, to co-operate but because these so-call leaders were too busy using creating myths about Asian countries, and using our vulnerable people for branch staking and fundraising purposes, those links werent created. (No other communities had this problem-just ours-and believe me when I say, these men cared nothing of my people, just their status) I urge everyone to read my report and I hope you will support my initiative to create those links - not just for economic reasons but to ensure stability in our region. Our parents didnt leave Cambodia for economic reasons, they left for safety now they want to go back and help rebuild Cambodia. I know many elders who do not want to live our their days here, they want to go back to their motherland. We, as the young folks, can help create a good place for them to live.
