7 yrs ago today I was taken into surgery and delivered a beautiful curly headed little boy that came out screaming! Which was a great sign for us. Then he was rushed off to NICU as expected. With Josh holding my hand as the doctors were closing me he said, We will see that boy. After surgery the nurses wheeled my bed to the NICU and I was able to see my precious Jonathan. As soon as I made it to my hospital room, Josh demanded that I was taken directly to NICU to hold that precious baby. After several visits from security....away we went! That evening the pediatric surgeon visited with us to explain Jonathan did not have hydronephrosis however the diagnosis was grime with Polycystic Kidney Disease which we learned was a genetic trait. Both of his kidneys was one large cyst measuring approx. 6in by 4 in. and was totally non-functional. Surgery is not an option. Now what....
