7th October,2014 : It was a beautiful sunny morning after heavy shower in the last night. The entire meadow, on the down hill of the Naval officers training centre at Ezhimala, was glowing under its morning warmth and the raindrops were still plainly visible on the grass blades nearby. It was the working day of my host friend, and Gloria & I started walking towards the isolated sea beach with our cameras in hand. The young officer cadets were returning to barrack after finishing their camp activities. The empty Arabian sea-beach was just waiting for the father-daughter duo. The whispering sea, caressing wind and the waves lashing at its silent shore was simply mesmerising. After few minutes of walk we found few young Brahminy Kites engaged in certain activities….carefully we reached to a lens distance, managed to half-hide ourselves behind a sand-heap. It was great watching so many kites here and there. We zeroed in at two of them trying to pick a medium sized wooden log, appears heavier than its weight, one by one, rising ,falling and rising again. They were playing just like our children do when not in school and continued for an hour. And we were happy to keep clicking as many shots as possible. ……
