8-18-14 By Vivian Gray — 6 hours ago Panda basically slept all weekend long. She didnt want to do anything and started getting very nauseous. This morning, she woke up a new girl. She was happy, smiling and playing all day. She barely took one nap. She also has a pearly, white, new incisor. Really? Teething again? Two more are on the way in. At least the sharp little incisors cut through quickly, compared to those darn molars. Once these come in, she will be up to 16 teeth. The poor girl doesnt even eat. Such a cruel joke. I pray that after these she will take a break for a while. I think she will have her wisdom teeth in by age 5. Panda also started chemo again today. It is a new protocol now. We plan to do two or three rounds before having another MRI to check progress. We began this round a week late. I really hope that we dont have any more central line/ infection issues or set backs to postpone treatment further. For now, the infection is gone and her cultures came back clear! Yea! Our prayers are working. The doctor is still concerned that she could have a recurrence once her immunities drop, after chemo, if there is any trace of bacteria left on the plastic line. That is why they usually end up pulling out the lines to get rid of all the remaining bacteria and prevent future infections. We dont have the luxury of just pulling it and putting in a new one. Please pray the infection stays away and that Panda sails happily through her new chemo protocol.
