8/24- Tropical Storm Cristobal Full Outlook Good Sunday morning - TopicsExpress

8/24- Tropical Storm Cristobal Full Outlook Good Sunday morning to everybody. Tropical Invest 96-L and Tropical Depression 4 has officially tuned in to Tropical Storm Cristobal. I was pretty sure it would this morning after monitoring the Hurricane Hunters flight through the system last night. They picked up an almost 60 MPH gust on the South side of the system. Cristobal is now organizing itself better and strengthening in pressure slightly. I received several questions last night about the most likely tracks and impacts of this storm. There was still some uncertainty bout whether this system would track into the Gulf of Mexico, which I can tell you now it will not. The two most likely tracks are for the steering winds to push it far out to sea in the Atlantic, or the system may veer west a little, push up the Atlantic Coast, and once it reaches OBX, push out to sea. Therefore, unless the computer modeling changes, this system will not be a significant impact to our area. Typically at this stage of the storm, it will hold its general track. Many of the computer models are in agreement about up the Atlantic Coast and out to sea, including some of the most accurate ones (GFS and Euro). I have attached the latest NHC/spaghetti model tracks and my forecasted tracks. I will continue to monitor this system as it begins to move slightly Northeastward. If anything big changes, I will update you. Additionally, I will have the Work Week Outlook for our local followers in the Mid-Atlantic ready later this afternoon or evening. *Local Weather for Sunday: Open your windows. It is going to be beautiful. ;) Thank you to everybody who helped my page reach 100 likes last night! -Christian
