Russell Johnson, seated left, the professor, recently died, leaving Tina Louise, standing center, and Dawn Wells, in pigtails, as the last living stars of the show, which ran until 1967. 6.The Addams Family Adapted from a series of New Yorker cartoons, this macabre sitcom, which ran until 1966, featured Carolyn Jones as Morticia and John Astin as Gomez Addams. It later became a revived series, a Broadway musical and a movie, with Anjelica Huston as Morticia. 7.The Man From U.N.C.L.E. In this ‘60s spy series David McCallum, who now plays Ducky on CBS’s NCIS, and Robert Vaughn used a charm offensive and a bevy of gadgets to battle baddies from Thrush. 8.Gomer Pyle, U.S.M.C. Played by singer-actor Jim Nabors, Gomer Pyle originated as a character on The Andy Griffith Show. He proved so popular he got a spinoff series, which ran until 1969.
