8 days from today our sweet baby will have her first procedure on the road to repair her tiny heart. You know you are getting anxious when you start doing the count down. The thought of this coming so soon, my little baby going through this is terrifying. I cried when her sister had to have a cavity filled. I am determined to stay strong though. Emily had her cardiology check up today and although her heart is always working hard he didnt see any significant change since last visit. Weight gain is slow, but increasing. We were able to skip the echo today since she will have her catherization next week. I was glad about that. Emily has become way to curious about her world to sit through that well. She did great with the EkG though, which is still showing about the same. We also recieved a letter from Boston childrens hospital today. Emilys case has been reviewed and they seem to agree with the double switch operation as well. That is very reassuring. They also mentioned possibly placing a pulmonary artery band before the switch is done. I got the feeling their opinion is leaning toward that. I just cant wait for the test results on her cath procedure to show her heart is strong enough! I know it will! She is our tiny warrior full of fight! When I started this page for prayers and support, I never imagined the amount of out reach I Would recieve. So many people offering love and help its beautiful. My amazing work family even started up a site for support and it was so touching they would do this for me. Here is the link if you would like to see.
