8 years ago today I launched Skybox Creative from a spare bedroom in my dad’s house. I downsized my life and reduced my personal overhead by moving back to my parents house after 6 years of being self sufficient and working full time for a local Advertising Agency. I gave up all the comfort and security I became accustomed to with the vision and knowing that I could create something magnificent. It was scary, I was depressed. I often felt like I made the wrong choice, that I couldn’t climb the mountain in front of me… I had no idea how I was actually going to pull it off… but somehow I did… and eventually it got easier. With a little discipline, a lot of long hours, tons of creative problem solving and the help of a few absolutely incredible people, I was able to create more than I ever dreamed possible.
