@800 Digital Outreach grants scheme Digital Outreach provides a grants scheme to local organisations and groups to support vulnerable people who need to fit filters to their TV to enable them to continue to receive Freeview following the arrival of 4G services. We expect that most grants will be for amounts under £500. The minimum grant available is £100 and the maximum grant is £3,000. Any community group or voluntary organisation can apply for a grant. The fund is not available for private companies or individuals. Organisations applying for more than £500 should use the longer application form. The one requirement we have is that the grant should be to help engage people, fund activities or raise awareness of the need to fit a filter to some TV’s that may be affected by the arrival of 4G, in a way that adds value to what is already planned. We want to help local organisations to include AT800 information in local events, meetings, presentations and visits with the target groups we need to reach. Digital Outreach encourages groups to come up with innovative or unusual ways of raising awareness and understanding about the need to fit a filter. We will not fund activities that involve commercial activities or are not focused on vulnerable consumers and the AT800 project. We will not fund the purchase of filters or any type of equipment. The grant scheme is only to fund activities that can demonstrate that they can engage with our core target groups: · Older people (75yrs and over) · Registered blind or partially sighted · People with a disability · People who have lived in a care home for more than six months) For more information or to apply please contact Gerry Carstairs, @800 Coordinator, CVS Inverclyde, 01475 711733
