805a 03/04 Good morning, Southwestern VA! Currently, we have Sunny skies across most of the area with Mostly Cloudy skies in the Roanoke Valley. Temperatures are ranging from the low teens to the upper teens. As a result of the cold temperatures this morning, be on the lookout for black ice if you have to travel this morning! Tuesday will bring Sunny skies with cold temperatures across the region. TUESDAY: Sunny skies. Highs will be in the upper 30s to low 40s. Winds will be Variable at 5 mph. TUESDAY NIGHT: Clear to Partly Cloudy skies. Lows will be in the low 20s. Winds will be Light and Variable across most of the region with winds from the Northeast at 5 mph in the Piedmont. WEDNESDAY: Sunny skies. Highs will be in the upper 40s to low 50s. Winds will be from the Northeast at 5 mph along and east of the Blue Ridge, from the West at 5 mph in the New River Valley, and Light and Variable near the Kentucky border. LOOKING AHEAD: Wednesday Night will bring a few more clouds to the region as low pressure develops along the east coast. This low pressure system will move Northeast along the coastline bringing with it the potential of rain and snow showers across the region for Thursday into Thursday Night. Snow accumulations are uncertain with this system at this time so stay tuned to Foots Forecast for the very latest on this system as we get closer. Lows on Wednesday Night will range from the upper 20s to near 30 degrees. Highs on Thursday will range from the low 40s to the upper 40s.
