#838 When in school Ive seen days when I needed to search for coins in my house to go buy something - we were so financially broke. My parents had a hard time paying for my school fees. We survived on debts only because I was a bright student and that everyone believed that one day I could be someone. Knowing my parents had to almost beg for money killed me inside. Although being a bright student, I was once kicked out of the school for not paying the fees on time. Everyday while going to school I had the fear of being summoned by the principal for not paying the fees on time. People wish they could go back to their childhood days again... well I certainly do not. I had never heard of medical collage until I was in class 11 when I decided to give it a try. When I was in class 11 and class 12, I taught Science to some kids so that I could get some money for the daily household stuff and for my medical coaching classes. With just one year (when I was in class 12) of intense preparation I was able to get a seat in one of the old medical collage. My happiness knew no bounds when I got that news. The next hurdle was my college fees but thank God that was taken care of by a scholarship which relaxed my entire college fees! After 5 years, I got job in fortis and now I am earning quite well. My savings is very little as most of it goes away into paying the debts. I only wish in life is to give my parents all the happiness in the world that they deserve and never ever worry about any debts. Why is this a confession? Because to the external world I belonged to a middle class family, little did they know about our real situation. Almost none of my friends know about the hardship that my family and I have gone through. I always feared that once they knew, they would start showing pity and sympathy towards me which is the last thing I wanted from a friend...
