84. And he turned away from them and said How great is my grief for Joseph! And his eyes turned white with the sorrow that he was suppressing. 85. They said: By Allah! Will you not cease to think of Joseph until your health is ruined, and you die? 86. He said: I only complain of my anguish and my sorrow unto Allah. And I know from Allah what you do not know. 87. 0 my sons; go and seek news of Joseph and his brother, and never give up hope of Allahs Mercy. Truly, no-one despairs of Allahs Mercy except those who have no faith. 88. Then when they came back into Josephs presence they said: 0 exalted sir, we and our people are scourged with famine. (Though) we have brought but little capital, fill up for us the measure, and be charitable to us. Surely, Allah rewards the charitable. 89. He said: Do you know what you did with Joseph and his brother in your ignorance? 90. They said: Are you indeed Joseph? I am Joseph, he said, and this is my brother. Allah has indeed been gracious to us. Whosoever fears Allah and is patient, surely Allah does not waste the reward of those who do good. 91. By Allah, they said; Allah has indeed preferred you above us; and certainly we have been sinful.
