89 years ago today the most beautiful, kind, warm hearted, generous, brilliant woman was born. I have thought about her all day today and lament not being close to her the last days of her life . It makes me sad that she didnt meet my husband and daughters. I feel even more sorry for not thanking her when I had the chance. I wanted to thank her for so many things especially for raising my mom, aunts, uncles, cousins, brother, and myself the way she did. Because of her love, patience, and wisdom I have an awesome God fearing loving mother who is so much like my grandmother. Both so radiant, full of life, and so genuienly happy even in troublesome times. I pray to God I become more like my grandmother and mom. My grandmothers legacy will live on in all of us. Her impact on all the lives she touched is great especially in my mom (Cristina Peña) and myself. Te amo abuelita y te extraño muchisimo. Se que estas en el cielo descansando en paz. Saludos a mi abuelito. Me siento tan bendecida y tan orgullosa de haber sido su nieta y sobre todo hija de la niña mas amorosa, tierna, paciente, y sabia que usted crió. Siempre estaras en mi corazo Abuelita. Feliz cumpleaños. Dios la bendiga a usted y mi abuelito.
