9/11/2001 . . . Most of us remember that day so well. Some of us actually were watching the horrific events on TV as they were happening. As I stood in front of the TV with my heart pounding and tears streaming down my face, I was on the phone calling my husband, my children, my parents, and my siblings that I could reach just to hear their voices and make sure they were okay. There was this profound need to be closer to our loved ones and share our feelings and fears. I am sure a lot of you did the same and had the same fears . . . what will happen next and will life be forever changed for us and the world around us. Most of us shed tears and felt our hearts aching for the next days into weeks as the horror continued to come to light. God gave us each a caring spirit and heart for a purpose . . . most of us knew what to do with it during that time. May he continue to watch over us and show us the way.
