RECONNECT OFFICER Reconnect Officer Part time - 4 days per week, Merimbula $20.72 - $21.83 per hour and potential PBI Salary Packaging Benefits in excess of $23,000. The Reconnect Officer is accountable for the provision of Reconnect services and the application of appropriate stategies for young people (12-18 years) who are either homeless, or at the risk of being homeless. The aim of these services is to link young people back with their families, schools and communities using solution-focused family counselling services on an outreach basis and providing intensive, short term interventions in achieving this aim. Skill Requirements: Qualifications in a Human Services disciplines and/or significant experience in working with young people and their families. Experience in the Social Services industry - providing mediation, counselling, crisis intervention and other solution focused intervention strategies. Knowledge of adolescent physical, mental and emotional development and the impacts of substance abuse and Applicants must hold a current Working With Children Check clearance and a Police check.
