9-11 means so many things to so many people...mourning, terror, sadness, fear,...no matter where you were or what you were doing, the events of this day in 2001 changed the face of our country and the course of the world, forever...so many unanswered questions, so many conflicting reports, so many things we cant understand...now there are whispers and stories about more terror that may be inflicted upon us, and as I said on my show earlier tonight, these rumors may bring an overwhelming sense of fear to your heart. Today I decided to say no to the fear that was weighing heavy on my heart, and instead say yes to the love that abounds in my life. We are having a wedding at my farm on Sat., my step-daughter Brittany is marrying a wonderful young man named Devon. Because of the big event, many family members are in town, and I spent the day cooking, cleaning, preparing for the wedding and mostly, loving on the special people in my life. When fearful thoughts about the anniversary of 9-11 could try to creep into my mind, I would close the door on those thoughts and instead say a prayer. I spent the day playing with kids, peeling apples for home-made apple cake, telling silly stories, checking homeward, talking to my teens about their driving lessons, and I took a long walk with my old lab Buddy, and enjoyed the sights, sounds and smells of this changing season on my farm. I dont know what 9-11 will bring, but I do know what today holds, and that is an abundance of joy and unconditional love...
