9/22/14 5:15pm Adam is undergoing yet another procedure right now. He has a blood infection, so all four of his lines have to be changed. And since they are doing that, the team decided to remove one of the ports and place a new one on the left side. He just got back from the tub room where all of his bandages were removed and he was washed. This is a terribly painful procedure, so he was sedated somewhat. But he cant be sedated too much, because he wont be able to breathe on his own, and he will have to be intubated again. His care is such a delicate balance of many things. I havent gotten to see him much today, and that makes me nervous. Two more hours, and I hope to see him.
