9 Dec. 2014, Maramag, Bukidnon (SPRINT News) - At least 11 persons died and more than 40 others are wounded in an explosion onboard a Rural Transit Mindanao, Inc. (RTMI) passenger bus near d Central Mindanao University (CMU) campus main gate at Musuan, Dologon, Maramag twn, near Valencia City, n Bukidnon Prov. about 5:45 p.m. today, 9 Dec 2014. Nine of the casualties died on the spot, while two at the hospital. The Maramag Municipal Police Station PNP is yet to name the victims that include many CMU students. The ill-fated bus bearing plate number KBP178 was on the way to Cagayan de Oro City. Initial report indicated that the bus came from Wao town in Lanao del Sur. Police post blast investigation is still to be completed but apparently the IED used was more powerful than the one that exploded onboard another RTMI bus also in Maramag last Nov 6 that injured less than 10 people. Probers believed that extortion motivated Khilafah Islamiyah Mindanao (KIM) to undertake the first bombing.#
