9 July 2013 - 6 August 2013: Therefore, God willing the first day of Ramadan is July 09, and the last day of Ramadan is August 06 for most of USA (including Hawaii), Canada and Mexico. Parts of Alaska and north west Canada may begin and end the month of Ramadan a day later July (July 10- August 7th). Please check with the information available for your location using the Ramadan Calculation Assistant and the US Naval Observatory solar & lunar data. 9 July 2013 - 7 August 2013: God willing the first day of Ramadan is July 9, and the last day of Ramadan is August 7, for most of Europe, Asia (including Bangladesh, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Pakistan, Singapore), Middle-East (e.g., Iran, UAE), Africa (e.g., Kenya, Nigeria). The Night of Destiny (Night of Power) will start, God willing, at sunset on August 3, 2013 for those places that start fasting on July 9th. For those locations that start Ramadan on July 10th (a day later), the Night of Destiny falls on August 4, 2013 God willing. Note: Please check your local sunset times to verify these dates. For example, based on the new moon, the month of fasting may coincide with July 8th for some parts of Alaska. Similarly the first day for parts of Australia and New Zealand may be July 10th (with an end date of August 7th).
