9 weeks ago I began a journey I never wanted, being mommy to an angel. I am beginning to develop our new normal with many glances back at the 13 short years we shared with Lucas. About a year ago, much to Lukes annoyance, I had family photos taken while Doug was home for his pre-deployment leave and his wedding. Lucas was quite the stinker to quote my mother, and had no interest in cooperating with our photographer. However, the fabulously talented Lindsey Beckwith Lindsey Beckwith Photography didnt let him get in her way and managed to capture many gorgeous shots of Luke with his personality sparkling through in each. To say these photos are priceless cannot express their importance as it now will be the last time our family was photographed together.
