9 years ago before Dan and I knew anything about where our food came from and how it was treated we to shopped at general grocery stores and went out to eat wherever we wanted to. We lived in Chicago and would rescue stray cats off the streets and get them their shots and find them homes. We had always beef extreme animal lovers. When we moved to Indiana 8 years ago we were trying to decide to do with the 15 acres we purchased. We happened to go see a hog confinement operation and were sicked by the whole thing. After a lot of research we decided we wanted to raise pigs in their natural environment. On my 40th birthday we purchased 13 hogs to start our new adventure. We are now well educated on the ways of natural farming and the ways of factory farming. At this point we make a choice not to support animal cruelty by not eating any animal that is factory farmed.
