Set among the villages of the Zhuang and Miao ethnic minorities, built along the slope winding from the riverside up to the mountain top between 600-800m above sea level about 650 years ago, this area provides uphill hike for the panoramic view of the beautiful rice terraces changing colors all year around with each season, forest-clad steep-sloped mountain scenery, and glimpse of the rural life as well as style of architecture found in the forest-fringed villages. The Yao women are famous for having the longest hair in the world. They never cut their hair but instead wrap it like a turban.
