911 is a joke in Ashtabula County. Yesterday, I collapsed in my driveway with very sharp pains in my chest and back. I waited for it to pass and went directly to the hospital. I got out of the car, started toward the door and it came back with a vengeance. I couldnt make it into the hospital. I called 911 and told them what was going on and where I was. I also told them that I need help to get in to the hospital. I even said I would have called the hospital but I didnt know the number. I waited, no one came. I made it to the bottom of the steps to get into the place an just held onto the railing until finally a nurse who had just gotten off work came out, helped me up the few steps and went and got a wheelchair. After I was there, IVs started, blood drawn, x-rays taken and pain meds given (so I was there for a while) the nurse came in and said the Geneva police finally show up to look for the guy who collapsed in their parking lot. It ended up being my Lupus attacking the muscles and connective tissue in my rib cage. THANK GOD!!! it wasnt a heart attack or I WOULD BE DEAD in the Geneva Hospital parking lot
