A 1000 Years to Late. Why is The Seventh-Day Sabbath GOD’S Sign? After six days of creation in bringing to life all the things that would be sustained in life by HIS Word, The Word of GOD Testified of the finished work of GOD through Him, and said, “Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them. And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made. And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made” (Genesis 2:1-3). Now, from the time of GOD’S work of creation, and HIS making of The Seventh-day Sabbath by HIS rest from HIS work upon that day, did the earth cease revolving upon its’ axis, to remain The Seventh-day Sabbath even until this day? If the earth did not cease to revolve upon its’ axis, and GOD did finish HIS work of creation, to rest upon The Seventh-day, then at the setting of the sun on that day called the Seventh-day, which HE blessed and sanctified, that evening was not the creation of an eight day to make an eight day weekly cycle, but it was the beginning of the first day of the weekly cycle, and the eight day from the first day of creation. Why is this important? If Adam and Eve were created on the sixth-day, and had their first fellowship with GOD on The Seventh-day, to rest with HIM, then Adam and Eve would only be two days old, if there were no weekly cycle since then. For GOD commanded Adam not to eat of the forbidden fruit. And HE said to him by HIS Word, “…in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die” (Genesis 2:17). Yet, after being led to eat of the fruit, to begin the process of death upon all living things upon the earth, The Scriptures record that, “…all the days that Adam lived were nine hundred and thirty years: and he died” (Genesis 5:5). Adam lived just short of a thousand years, which Peter said, “…beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day [is] with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day” (2 Peter 3:8). If Adam lived to be nine hundred and thirty years, which is longer than the weekly days, then the cycle of the weekly days did not cease. But there is an important principle of Truth that GOD has revealed in the weekly cycle that has been established at the end of HIS work of creation. For it is written to, “Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work: But the seventh day [is] the sabbath of the LORD thy God: [in it] thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that [is] within thy gates: For [in] six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them [is], and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it” (Exodus 20:8-11). The word “Remember” is the Hebrew word #02142 zakar {zaw-kar}, which has the primitive root meaning from the word “Memorial”, which is #02146 zikrown {zik-rone}. Why did GOD give HIS Covenant Word to Moses, to command the children of Israel to remember The Sabbath day, to keep It holy? This was a precept that HE established at the end of the creation week. And as HE taught by HIS example of resting on that day, HE also gave man another example when, “…the LORD spake unto Moses in mount Sinai, saying, Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye come into the land which I give you, then shall the land keep a sabbath unto the LORD. Six years thou shalt sow thy field, and six years thou shalt prune thy vineyard, and gather in the fruit thereof; But in the seventh year shall be a sabbath of rest unto the land, a sabbath for the LORD: thou shalt neither sow thy field, nor prune thy vineyard. That which groweth of its own accord of thy harvest thou shalt not reap, neither gather the grapes of thy vine undressed: [for] it is a year of rest unto the land. And the sabbath of the land shall be meat for you; for thee, and for thy servant, and for thy maid, and for thy hired servant, and for thy stranger that sojourneth with thee, And for thy cattle, and for the beast that [are] in thy land, shall all the increase thereof be meat. And thou shalt number seven sabbaths of years unto thee, seven times seven years; and the space of the seven sabbaths of years shall be unto thee forty and nine years. Then shalt thou cause the trumpet of the jubile to sound on the tenth [day] of the seventh month, in the day of atonement shall ye make the trumpet sound throughout all your land” (Leviticus 25:1-9. Notice that The LORD God has revealed another example of this precept, which HE has established at creation, to labor, in this case six years sowing and gathering the harvest, and in the seventh year allowing the land to rest, or have a Sabbath unto The LORD. What is the significance of this precept that GOD has established at creation? For over six thousands years, this earth has be sowing the gospel seed of The Promise of GOD’S Covenant Word of Life, to take root in the heart soil of those, who would receive The Seed of HIS Word, to grow to be His trees of righteousness. The Word of GOD spoke GOD Words through Isaiah, and declared to men the thoughts He Himself would repeat when He came to dwell among men. He said, “The Spirit of the Lord GOD [is] upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to [them that are] bound; To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn; To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified” (Isaiah 61:1-3). If we look carefully at this passage of Scripture, we find that GOD anointed Isaiah with HIS Covenant Word, and spoke through him the same Words of The Spirit of Christ, Who would speak the same Words, Which were written by Isaiah of Him beforehand. He said, The Spirit of The LORD was upon Him, to preach good tidings unto the meek. He was sent to bind up, or to gather together in Him, as one, all who were brokenhearted. He was sent to proclaim liberty, or freedom to all, who were held captive in sin. He was sent to break open the gates of death and destroy the power of the prison of death, to loose all, who were held bound, and were subjects to the bondage of the devil. Notice that He was also sent to proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God. He was sent to comfort all that mourn; to appoint unto them in Zion, beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of The LORD, that HE might be glorified. Notice the arrangement of these words in the text. There is the blessing that is mentioned first, which comes to replace the curse, which is mentioned after. Through Moses, The LORD said by HIS Word, “Six years thou shalt sow thy field, and six years thou shalt prune thy vineyard, and gather in the fruit thereof; But in the seventh year shall be a sabbath of rest unto the land, a sabbath for the LORD: thou shalt neither sow thy field, nor prune thy vineyard. That which groweth of its own accord of thy harvest thou shalt not reap, neither gather the grapes of thy vine undressed [for] it is a year of rest unto the land” (Leviticus 25:3-5). If the field is the world and the gospel Seed is being sown in the field, to grow and be the branches of The LORD and of HIS Word, then all those, who have joined themselves to The LORD by following The Counsel of HIS Covenant Word, they will be gathered up with Him in that acceptable time of harvest. Those, who were held captives in death, they will be set free at their Master’s call. And they will receive The Promise Blessings in Christ at His second coming, to replace their bondage and hold by the enemy of Life. Through David The Word of LORD said, “Gather my saints together unto me; those that have made a covenant with me by sacrifice. And the heavens shall declare his righteousness: for God [is] judge himself. Selah. Hear, O my people, and I will speak; O Israel, and I will testify against thee: I [am] God, [even] thy God. I will not reprove thee for thy sacrifices or thy burnt offerings, [to have been] continually before me. I will take no bullock out of thy house, [nor] he goats out of thy folds. For every beast of the forest [is] mine, [and] the cattle upon a thousand hills. I know all the fowls of the mountains: and the wild beasts of the field [are] mine. If I were hungry, I would not tell thee: for the world [is] mine, and the fulness thereof. Will I eat the flesh of bulls, or drink the blood of goats? Offer unto God thanksgiving; and pay thy vows unto the most High: And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me. But unto the wicked God saith, What hast thou to do to declare my statutes, or [that] thou shouldest take my covenant in thy mouth? Seeing thou hatest instruction, and castest my words behind thee” (Psalms 50:5-17). Notice what will happen to those, who choose, to reject The Counsel of GOD’S Word to follow their own way, just like that vineyard that grows of its own accord, which will not be harvested. The LORD by HIS Word spoke through Moses to the children of Israel, who were rebellious and said. “…if ye will not be reformed by me by these things, but will walk contrary unto me; Then will I also walk contrary unto you, and will punish you yet seven times for your sins. And I will bring a sword upon you, that shall avenge the quarrel of [my] covenant: and when ye are gathered together within your cities, I will send the pestilence among you; and ye shall be delivered into the hand of the enemy. [And] when I have broken the staff of your bread, ten women shall bake your bread in one oven, and they shall deliver [you] your bread again by weight: and ye shall eat, and not be satisfied. And if ye will not for all this hearken unto me, but walk contrary unto me; Then I will walk contrary unto you also in fury; and I, even I, will chastise you seven times for your sins. And ye shall eat the flesh of your sons, and the flesh of your daughters shall ye eat. And I will destroy your high places, and cut down your images, and cast your carcases upon the carcases of your idols, and my soul shall abhor you. And I will make your cities waste, and bring your sanctuaries unto desolation, and I will not smell the savour of your sweet odours. And I will bring the land into desolation: and your enemies which dwell therein shall be astonished at it. And I will scatter you among the heathen, and will draw out a sword after you: and your land shall be desolate, and your cities waste. Then shall the land enjoy her sabbaths, as long as it lieth desolate, and ye [be] in your enemies land; [even] then shall the land rest, and enjoy her sabbaths. As long as it lieth desolate it shall rest; because it did not rest in your sabbaths, when ye dwelt upon it.” (Leviticus 26:23-34). Notice that those, who choose not to keep GOD’S day of rest, or HIS Sabbath Day according to HIS Covenant Word of The Seventh-day, which HE sanctified and made Holy, they will keep it Holy, but not of their own will, because their cities will be wasted, and their sanctuaries will be desolate. And like these mass animal death that are taking place all over the earth, the wicked will lay desolate with no life in them, and none to bury them, in the day of The Lord at His coming. They will rest from their labors, to give the land to enjoy her Sabbaths, which were not done according to GOD’S Will, while they were alive upon the land. Jesus presented the parable of the ten virgins, and said, “Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom. And five of them were wise, and five [were] foolish. They that [were] foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them: But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept. And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him. Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps. And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out. But the wise answered, saying, [Not so]; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves. And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut. Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us. But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not. Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.” (Matthew 25:1-13). Notice that in the beginning of creation, the first day started with the evening and the morning, which were the first day of GOD’S creation of the earth. The heavens where The LORD dwells was of Light, until dark was upon the face of the deep. Evening does not come at midnight, it come from an eclipse of the light. This darkness that was upon the face of the deep was a misrepresentation of GOD’S Character, Which the enemy spread among the angels, to win their hearts in worship to him against The Son of GOD through Whom The Father created all things. The same work that the enemy did in heaven, he is doing here upon the earth today. If the first day of creation was the start of the beginning of a cycle of days upon the earth, to reveal a Truth in the heavens before the earth was created, and the evening and the morning begins a day, then what was the nature of that day that came to an evening, and was before the first day in the beginning of earth’s creation week? If Christ were to return to this earth on a Seventh-day Sabbath, to continue that Sabbath for Eternity, then how many profess Christians will be worshipping Him according to His sign of being one with Him? In the parable of the ten virgins, these were all awake at one time and went to meet the Bridegroom, but in their waiting for the Bridegroom, they all eventually fell asleep. But when the trumpet call was made, to go and meet the Bridegroom, they awoke to trim their lamp. “…the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out. But the wise answered, saying, [Not so]; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves. And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut.” The vessels are the persons with The Spirit of Christ, Who gives them His Light, to shine and give Him glory. But the foolish they took no extra Oil of The Spirit with them in their vessels with their lamps. They are sent to buy The Oil, Which was no longer being sold, because they rejected The Spirit, of Christ, Who was given of GOD to all, who would receive Him. If they were not obedient to GOD’S Word, to worship GOD on the day HE has made Holy, then if Christ were to come to receive His harvest, to gather all, who worship Him to fellowship with Him on The Seventh-day Sabbath, then those, who did not keep GOD’S Sabbath while they were alive, they will keep it with those, who will be made desolate at Christ coming. For His servant John said of The Word, “Blessed and holy [is] he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years” (Revelation 20:6). This is that thousand years of a Sabbath rest, which the weekly Sabbath points us to remember, as a memorial of GOD’S Promise by HIS Covenant Word, to be a sign between to HIM and those, who received HIS Covenant Word. At the end of the thousand years, the foolish virgins came seeking to fellowship with the LORD and HIS Word, but the Door was shut. Jesus revealed through Luke what take place. And He said, “When once the master of the house is risen up, and hath shut to the door, and ye begin to stand without, and to knock at the door, saying, Lord, Lord, open unto us; and he shall answer and say unto you, I know you not whence ye are: Then shall ye begin to say, We have eaten and drunk in thy presence, and thou hast taught in our streets. But he shall say, I tell you, I know you not whence ye are; depart from me, all [ye] workers of iniquity. There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when ye shall see Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, and all the prophets, in the kingdom of God, and you [yourselves] thrust out” (Luke 13:25-28). Notice that all, who are inside The Shut Door of this fellowship, they are those, who have accepted The Covenant of GOD’S Word, to keep HIS Word, and not discard Him behind their backs, to follow their own ways. There is much that can be revealed in presenting this study, but I hope that you my brothers and sisters will choose Whom you will serve, because we are living in the evening of the sixth day that draws towards midnight, and beginning of The Seventh-day Sabbath of a thousand years of rest. I hope that you will be among those, who are gathered together unto GOD, and are among those, who have made a covenant with HIM by sacrifice. Don’t wait for the first-day, because one day, it will be a thousand years to late.
