A BASKETBALL MIND 5pts UNTV CUP SEASON 3 OPENS AT MOA UNTV Cup, Ito ang Bagong Game Ko! will open its 3rd season this Monday, November 17 at Mall of Asia Arena. The 1st and only basketball league in the country that integrates public service in basketball will have a surprise opening game as teams will only knew during gametime, the two teams that will battle for the 1st game of the tournament. Mr. Public Service Kuya Daniel Razon , the initiator of the charity games for public officials and government employees, will lead the opening ceremony beginning at 6pm. League Commissioner Atoy Co will announce the teams that will play in the lone match and this will be done via drawing of lots. Twelve teams are participating this season including 3 new teams, Bureau of Fire Protection, National Housing Authority and GSIS. Early favorites are season 1 titlist Team Judiciary and the defending champion, AFP Cavaliers. Expected to make a run is the PNP Responders, the two time runner up to be led by 2 time MVP Ollan Omiping and new head coach Estong Ballesteros. Completing the cast are MMDA, DOJ, Philhealth, Senate, House of Representatives and Malacañang. Winners of the competition will be given cash prizes that they will donate to their chosen charity. UNTV Cup Season 3 is telecast live every Sunday 2pm at UNTV.
