A BETTER INHERITANCE. And for this cause He is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance. Hebrews 9:15(kjv). We are told in the book of proverb chapter 13 verse 22 that a good man leaveth an inheritance for his childrens children. What a challenge for us parents! But if youre not fortunate enough to leave any inheritance for your own children, not to talk of their children, I dont think you shouldnt be considered a bad man(parent). Just endeavour not to be lazy that it might be said of you that you did your best. Considering the book of Hebrews, were told of a better inheritance which is eternal. That is, Jesus Christ offered Himself as a sacrificial Lamb to obtain eternal redemption for us. Hebrews 9:11-16,22-26,28(kjv) - 11 But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building; 12 Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us. 13 For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh: 14 How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? 15 And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance. 16 For where a testament is, there must also of necessity be the death of the testator. 22 And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission. 23 It was therefore necessary that the patterns of things in the heavens should be purified with these; but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these. 24 For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us: 25 Nor yet that He should offer Himself often, as the high priest entereth into the holy place every year with blood of others; 26 For then must He often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the end of the world hath He appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of Himself. 28 So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall He appear the second time without sin unto salvation. So, whether you give or receive an earthly inheritance from your parents or not, theres good news for you if you have accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and personal Saviour because Hes purchased for us a better inheritance - an eternal inheritance that perish not. Only ensure that you daily watch and pray lest youre persuaded off your eternal inheritance. And if you are yet to be a part of this glorious privilege, what are you waiting for. Just accept youre a sinner - Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned, Romans 5:12. And ask for forgiveness of yourself and make up your mind never to go back to them. Then, invite Jesus to come into your life and be your Lord and Saviour - that if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. Romans 10:9(kjv). Beloved, may I say congratulations to you if you just invited Christ into your life, as you also can now partake of the better inheritance that Christ has purchased for us. Find a bible believing church to attend and take time to always study the word of God, for in it ye shall find life. May God strengthen us all as we await His glorious appearance. Jesus Is Lord!!!
