A BETTER LIFE THAT PAYS. Last week,i wrote abt a Life of Affluence and Life of Influence.i said bth were impt but i prefer the latter - Life of Influence. Today,during a careful study on the Man named Zacchaeus in Luke 19:1-10.ive pinpoint sum salient truth dt i blv we all nid 2 undastand & adjust ourlives to such. >Zacchaeus had bth lives and he was cmfortable but he knew sumthing was missing in his life - Unfulfillment, Lack of Peace (v.2) > He had a strong determination,eagerness to have an encounter with Jesus Christ - d peace maker &who only can grant u a Life of Fulfillment. - (v.3) > He acknowledged his shortcomings,disabilities,flaws and he wasnt d only in such state.we all have ours but he decided 2 find a means to get hs own solution to hs lack. - (v.4-5) > Ur happiness wl be sum odas ppl unhappy mood,sum wl criticize and be angry with you on ur success and breakthru...He was happy to host Jesus in hs house; he welcomed the Saviour into his Life. Zacchaeus neva said he was a saint,he knew quite alright dt he was a Sinner,he had lacks, but wats ppls business having 2 recite hs past Life CV to him? -(v.6-7) Amazingly,he wasted no more tym beating abt d brush.In Verse 8,he expressed a sober & repentant heart to God. I want to do good.I will give half of my money to the poor.If i have cheated any person, i will pay that person back four times more! - what a man! I have always blvd and say that the major difference btw a believer and an Unbeliever is their Heart. A believer if tempted and falls into sin,feels a prick in his conscience (the holy Spirit), he becomes sober, seek repentance and wl try so hard nt 2 continuously want 2 Sin again.But an unbeliever wlnt feel anything wrong abt his/her actions, conscience is died and enjoying living in Sin. Finally, Zacchaeus didnt only got saved but his entire household did.What a great experience with the Lord! What an event and testimony he cant forget in a hurry! Dnt judge any man with his/ her past mistakes & u allow dt kip u 4rm bin saved bcus you held him/her,ur pastor, ur father or mother,uncle in high esteem and they have wronged you. The truth is they may av gone to sort out their lives with God while you continue harbouring dt pain.It time u let go and let God.It time uve an encounter with Jesus Christ. Remember, Nobody talks abt your past wen uv a new story.Old news dnt matter wen dia is a sweet and awesome news going around town. May God grant us all beta undastanding of his word and find grace unto repentance for salvation,so dt we enjoy a new life in Him.Amen.
