A Bite of the Apple Next time, Id give rumors more of the benefit of the doubt. Never have rumors & speculations lend so much credence until most of the conjectures about the iPhone 6 turn out right to be right- that it would come in two sizes & that even the smaller one is about the size of the bigger smart phone. And so on & so forth. Forbes Magazine though has a bad review of its battery life. It accuses the iPhone to compromise this for form. Well, this I may have to find out for myself later. My current iPhone cant stay alive well over 45 minutes & this is so far the only setback about the iPhone that disappoints me big time. Im wistfully thinking of an improvement. The iPhone 6 per Apples own claim is purported to have better battery life - remarkably more power-efficient. I dont know how its iSights 1.5 micron pixel translate into megapixels but I think its a better reso than an 8-mega pixel. Ergo, its resolution therefore would probably meet my expectation but not exceed it. Regardless, the picture quality taken by an iSight camera doesnt disappoint judging from experience ( though it has a grainy quality in low light conditions i.e. my selfies inside movie houses ). With its one of a kinds aperture enhanced capability to let in 81% more light ( or so Ive read ) not to mention more pixels, I expect only sharper & more detailed colors. Ive heard about its slo mo & time lapse features & intagram-like editable photo gallery ( unless Ive read this part here wrong ). Ive also read from apple itself that its front-facing HD Camera takes better selfies due to its allowance of more light & its better face detection technology. This eliminates the need to buy edgier DLSR or SLR that has a tilting image screen for point of view photos & videos. It also has slow-motion apps and many others. Im a minimalist who likes Tom Ford-ish, Vera Wang-ish clean lines & sleek designs so Im not particularly elated with iPhone 6 & the 6 Plus having rounded corners. Ive always love its classic squared off design of yore. Its slimmer & sleaker design however, thrill me. And by the way, no one should talk about the iPhone if one cant pronounce retina correctly. Its not reh TEE nuh but its RETnuh. Yes, the primary stress falls on the first syllable. I love its retina display. Im not so crazy about its incorporating the NFC technology in its Apple Pay feature as credit cards scare the sheer poverty out of me but I Iike its health apps & other newer apps. Im working as a products and services escalations specialist for an American cellular network so I might learn more of its many other classified, cutting-edge features soon & tell you about them. Apple is not such a tell-all site to reckon with. Ive heard that Siri can now speak in many languages. Well, I might exploit it to improve on my French but honestly, my current Siri only uses up my battery life but its virtually inutile. I have long fired her both as my au pair & personal assistant after it dialled somebody else on my phonebook when I made her Call my boyfriend. Also it texted Angie instead of my mother and its Bisaya is hideous. Also, Siri is too stuck up & snobbish. It doesnt even recognize things that are too local like Carbon. Im a very down to earth person so Siri is not for me. At any rate, all the hype of its much anticipated Sapphire glass is not true. Its actual gorilla glass is not that bad though. It doesnt look plastic-ky as an Androids. I hate it that there doesnt seem to be a white iPhone 6. Im neither into gold as it offers a clashy contrast against a colorful outfit & gray is too mote & lifeless for me. For all its flaws, nothing beats the iPhones operating system. My iPhone is two years old now & it has continuously amazed me for both speed & efficiency. It has never frozen up on me nor acted up crazy. Ive dropped it a couple of times from various heights and it has never faltered thereafter. There was this one time when it failed to go on loudspeaker after Ive dropped it. I was about to send it to a service center until I misadvertently dropped it again. Guess what? All I had to do was to drop it again and all was well that ended well! My iPhone was my first smart phone EVER as I had always been a text-and-talk person for most of my life. I kept losing phones or drowning them with sodas or coffee in my bags & I couldnt care less doing so because they were not particularly smart phones. They were practically more disposable than utilitarian. I bought the iPhone because it looked classy & smart enough for me around the time when I became too write-y & my pressing, volatile rudiments of writing ideas found me in random places & I could no longer wait to come to the house & be at my laptop to be able to write them or they were all kaput by then. Also, Ive read news, nerves classy eroticas, movie reviews, study French, check Merriam-Websters word of the day on my phone. This doesnt include yet my need to get my OOTD documented. So you see I didnt buy the iPhone as a status symbol. I was neither born rich nor a social climber. Also without toting an iPhone or in a tomato sack, I know for a fact that I am fabulous because Im a transgendered woman who makes a lot of sense. I use my iPhone for utility. Well, theres nothing wrong about talking about an iPhone. The iPhone 6 & iPhone 6 Plus is for everyone... who CAN afford it. Now theres the rub. I had better start shopping for a phone tomorrow... a Chinese-made flipflop sold in Colon. :) One can dream big but living within ones means is a smarter idea than Steve Jobs iPhone idea. Im definitely not sourgraping because Ive saved up enough for that phone & also because its release coincides with my postpaid lines upgrade eligibility date. I cant think of a perfect birthday gift around the time Id be old enough to know whats really essential & necessary, & its also a good gift to myself for happily ending seven years of hard-core corporate work.
