A Caananite woman approaches Jesus for a miracle. He says nothing, initially. She persists in her petition. Jesus explains, I was sent only to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. She is not discouraged. She came and knelt before Him, saying, Lord help me! Our Lord says, It is not fair to take the childrens bread and throw it to the dogs. But, the woman does not give up. Her faith increases and overflows. She brings herself with great humility. Yes, Lord, yet event the dogs eat the crumbs that fall from their masters table. SUCH GREAT FAITH, SUCH HUMILITY, SUCH CONSTANCY,cause our Lord to exclaim, O woman, GREAT IS YOUR FAITH. And, her daughter was healed instantly. Jesus says, Be it done for you as you desire. For this exceptional miracle, exceptional faith, humility and constancy were necessary. We have to make sure we have the right disposition for the miracle to take place; so that we ask Him with TRUST, with FAITH, and without becoming discouraged. But, it is not enough just to ask. WE MUST PERSEVERE... Ask and it shall be given to you; knock and it shall be opened to you. Our Father God always gives us more than we ask Him for. ALWAYS.
