GETTING LUCKY — I drove over to Tampa Bay Downs today to watch the races, and decided to take some pictures before heading home. I went to the paddock before the seventh race, and got as close as I could to the only horse in a back-row stall, No. 8 Jive On. ... Snapped a few, then ran around to the track entrance and took one of each of the eight horses, then took several more as the horses warmed up. Then I scrambled up into the grandstand to a vantage point with a straight-on view of the starting gate (in the chute on the turf course), then moved again for an angle on the finish line. ...
