A Cause/Effect Paragraph from one of my "favorite students"..... in POWERFUL PARAGRAPH..... CLASSIC READ!!! Incomplete Entries A Cause / Effect Paragraph There are many reasons why a student might not turn in his IEW paper on time. To start, sometimes the student doesn’t understand what he is supposed to do. Instead of asking for clarification, he assumes that he knows how to write it and fails. Sometimes he will forget about it until the last minute. Then, he has to write a paper, which doesn’t turn out well because it was rushed and not planned appropriately. His parents. Then, won’t allow him to send the paper in for an evaluation. Not planning can also result in a late paper. If the student doesn’t plan, he will forget to work in daily increments, and won’t have it done when it needs to be completed. Extra curricular activities can also prevent him from completing the assignment. If the student becomes excited about these activities, he can easily declare that he has plenty of time to not only write an excellent paper, but also participate in the activity. After he proclaims this, he promptly forgets and writes a horrible, boring paper, which (again) isn’t allowed to be sent to the teacher. Procrastinating causes an overdue paper as well. The student knows that he has to do it, but keeps putting it off. When he does this, he is hoping and praying, that if he waits long enough, the assignment will just disappear. Unfortunately, this never works for anyone. In conclusion, there are many reasons why students can’t complete their IEW papers on time.
