You can only love others to the extent you love yourself. You may - TopicsExpress

You can only love others to the extent you love yourself. You may want someones attention, deeply crave their affection, even FEEL deep desire. But is that love? No. Love is more than that. Love is full acceptance. Love is full presence. Love is BEING loving even when you dont FEEL loving. Love is all encompassing. Love is not out to gain something. Love just....IS. So take a step back....Do you love yourself this way? CAN you love yourself this way? Can you embrace your perceived flaws & imperfections? I mean ~ really love yourself in spite of them?....BECAUSE of them?? Do you know you are worthy of love from yourself, from God & from others EXACTLY AS YOU ARE? Oh sure, youre evolving & healing & always reconnecting to more of who you really are - but does that mean you have to get there before you can fully extend pure love to yourself? Or can you love yourself right here, right now? With all the unpretty parts of you still intact? None of us are perfect - we all have our dark sides. Our shadow. But it does NOT take away our lovability! But YOU need to believe that - in your core. YOU need to extend that first - to Yourself. So can you love ALL of you ~ even your shadow? When you keep practicing this with yourself - youll see that reflected towards you from others ~ AND youll be able to reflect that towards others, as well. But it has to start with you. The more forgiveness, compassion, patience, love & kindness you extend to yourself (for ALL of yourself), the more you freely extend the same to people outside of you...for their greatness AND their shadow. When you accept yourself right where you are, you can accept others right where they are, as well. Without needing to change them. Without needing them to do things a certain way in order to earn your love. You just love....because you ARE love. Its not about gaining anything. Its about BEING who you truly are. #LIVEINLOVE
