A Celebration for Life for William J. Radigan, Jr. (Bill) will be held on Wednesday evening, 8 October 2014, at 7:00pm. This will be at the Porter Loring Mortuary North which is located at 2101 N. Loop 1604 E (corner Gold Canyon). Bill was killed in a motorcycle accident on Tuesday afternoon. A military ceremony with full military honors will be held early next year in Arlington National Cemetery. Bill served on active duty with the U.S. Air Force for 40 years in both enlisted and officer status. He retired as a Lieutenant Colonel several years ago. He has been a dedicated volkssporter and stalwart AVA Headquarters Volunteer as well as a volunteer for several clubs in the San Antonio area. He partnered with Heinz Johnson in 2008 and formed LoneStar Walkers Volkssport Club and actively served as its Vice President and Treasurer. In 2013 he received the AVA Presidents Award as the AVA Jack-of-all Trades Volunteer. A Memorial Walk in his honor is being planned for later this year.
