A Childlike Faith Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven. Matthew 18:4 A child depends of their father for everything. They have no cares in the world because they know that their father is with them and will take good care of them. A child understands that even when being disciplined, their father loves them. And no matter how anyone feels about them, they know how their father feels. This brings them emotional security and peace of mind. They know that theres nothing they can do to make their father stop loving them. You are Gods daughter and He is your loving Father. Do you understand fully what that means? Maybe you have abandonment issues. Self-esteem issues. Trust issues. Maybe youve had to do everything on your own and just the thought of total dependence on another person frightens you. Maybe your father was very strict and you struggle with believing in Gods unconditional love for you. We all get to the place when we must pray, Lord help me understand what it means to be Your daughter and show me what it means to have You as my Father. God will take you on a journey of amazing discovery, where You learn that He is more than just your God, more than a Provider, Protector, Way Maker, or Deliver. He is your Father, your Abba, your Daddy who loves you more than anything. He even knows how many hairs are on your head, your thoughts before you think them, and He knows when youre holding back from talking about what is really bothering you. You can run into His spiritual arms. Feel His embrace. Learn His unconditional love. Be reminded of His promises that are sure. Prayer: You are my loving heavenly Father and Im Your daughter. Thank You for being so good to me. I love You. I run to You. Help me get to know You better. Help me learn to trust You more. Help me rest in Your love for me. In Jesus name, Amen.
